For all episodes mentioning Evan Minsker, see Category:Evan Minsker.

Evan Minsker has been a close friend of the McElroy brothers since childhood.

Previously, Evan worked as a writer and editor for the online music magazine Pitchfork, but is now freelancing and writing about punk and rock'n'roll music.[2] They have appeared as a guest and hosted the game segment "Guess the Real Punk Band" on the McElroy Family Clubhouse, in episodes 23 and 59.

Evan is the original inspiration for The Adventure Zone character Barry Bluejeans who featured in the brothers' first campaign.

“I believe Chuck did a video thing to sort of promote the library and it was like a mystery that took place in the library. And it featured many of my friends from the theater we were going to, including my best bud Evan Minsker who played a character I believe was the janitor at the library, who he named Barry Bluejeans, which I thought was the funniest thing I’d ever heard in my entire life.”
— Griffin, on the origin of Barry Bluejeans, from The The Adventure Zone Zone

Evan also featured alongside his brother Justin, Clint and Griffin McElroy in the 1995 program Peace on the Playground, which his father Chuck directed.
