Polygon[1][2][3] is a website that functions as the video game journalism arm of Vox Media. The site was launched in 2012 with Justin and Griffin McElroy among its founding members after leaving Joystiq. Polygon's launch was documented in a 13-episode YouTube documentary called "Press Reset".[4]

In 2017, video producer Nick Robinson was suspended and later removed from Polygon following multiple harassment allegations made against him.[5] Previously, Nick had worked on several popular series with Griffin, including Car Boys, Touch the Skyrim, and CoolGames Inc.

In 2018, Justin and Griffin left Polygon to focus on podcasting and their families.[6] Chris Plante, one of the co-hosts of The Besties, currently serves as the site's Editor-in-Chief.
