Satellite Dish with Justin and Sydnee was a podcast hosted by Justin and Dr. Sydnee McElroy with the tagline "the world's very best show about TV for people who own TVs." The podcast ran for 37 episodes and contained discussions on a wide array of TV shows such as True Blood, Misfits, Parks and Recreation, Breaking Bad and Glee. It also featured a three part series deep-dive into Tyra Banks' novel Modelland.[1]
They also had special guests in episode 12 when they were joined by Travis and Griffin and their respective wives, Teresa and Rachel.[1]
In regards to the end of the show, Justin and Sydnee explained that the demand that came with having a podcast about TV (ie. watching a lot of TV) was a bit too high and time-consuming for them at the time. They instead looked for something they were already interested in and could talk a lot about: Sydnee has long been a fan of weird medical stuff and figured this was a way to make use of all those things she learned in doctor school. Hence, Sawbones was born.[2][3]
As of 2024, none of the episodes of Satellite Dish seem to be hosted and available online anymore.
