Trial By Fieri is YouTube series created by Griffin McElroy in which he plays games from the Legend of Zelda as Guy Fieri. The games are randomized so that items are all in the wrong locations, and also he dies in one hit. In the first season, dying turned Guy into a hot dog, leading to the hot dog emoji 🌭 becoming the default reaction to character death in the series. This usage has also spread into Victory McElroyale.

The first season of Trial by Fieri, in which Griffin played The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, debuted on December 8, 2021 and concluded after 12 episodes on March 31, 2022, when Griffin successfully slew Ganon and restored peace to Hyrule Flavortown. Youtube commenters disagreed at how many hot dogs (aka deaths) occurred in the series, but agreed it was over 300.
Jalapeno and Lime[]
The second season, called Trial by Fieri: Jalapeno and Lime, in which Griffin played The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, debuted on March 30, 2023 during Max Fun Drive 2023. He was joined by his brothers Travis and Justin for the special first episode. Season 2 concluded on July 13, 2023, when he kicked Ganon's ass yet again.
